Wrong part

So my drivers rear door won’t unlock. No biggie, I order from Rock Auto, Pontiac > 2006 > Grand Prix > 3.8L > Body > Door Lock Actuator, the rear left one. I tear apart my car door, and the actuator and latch assembly are one unit, not two. The part I was shipped is wrong. So what car is it for?

The website says it’s an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but with no latch assembly, the part is worthless to my car. Time to talk to the dealer now...

Kinja'd!!!

The right part

Punching that part number in on Google Images...

...comes up with a result from JCWhitney, of all places...and actuator for a 1999-2009 (probably supposed to be 1999-2007) Chevrolet Silverado.

Yeah, same daddy-brand, but not the right part. When I call rock auto up again, I'll have to convince them the xml layout is wrong.

I had the same problem once as well, it took some convincing that their site was wrong but they made it right in the end. I was lucky enough to see it was the wrong part before I started tearing it apart.
